Thirteen years ago, I desperately needed a new hobby after breaking my ankle right before soccer season started. I immediately went to YouTube and found my calling in the voices of older English women twisting yarn into knots with a hook. Joann's Fabrics held the guiding light to my new endeavor.
Over that winter, I made beanies, bags, cardigans, you name it. The hook would go away for seasons at a time and come back out when the temperature dropped.
That all changed in 2020 when I took a leap of faith and created "The Grouchy Knot". With all of the fear and despair in the world, I relied on the one thing that was always there for me -- yarn and a hook. I took comfort in the endless amount of stitches and the hours I could pour into my projects.
I unfortunately had to close The Grouchy Knot a few months after my move to Oregon for various reasons. With many seasons of life happening in between, my hook went into hiding once more.
However, I am proud to say that she has come out of retirement and I am ready to share my passion with the world again. Thank you for tagging along <3
